2022 BA Thesis Project / from Chung-Ang Univ. Industrial Design.
This project was based on very simple question.
What path luxury car brands should walk in the future?
Because cars are getting autonomous and spacious every single day,
luxury cars no longer differentiate them on functional way
(mobilize passenger as comfortable as possible) from normal cars.
What’s only left instead is showing off the expensiveness of them.
And that’s not a healthy luxury.
Which made me think: rather than owners show off their ‘expensive Maybach’,
let the owners show off their taste of art by ‘USING the Maybach’.
In the past, European young upper-class used to trip around Europe to broaden their sight in humanities, knowledge, and ART.
They’ve called it, the “GRAND TOUR”.
They’ve called it, the “GRAND TOUR”.
Centuries later, new “GRAND - TOURER” arrives for future high-class nomads to showcase their ART around the world.
